Here is a Hubsan X4 H107L review video showing it in action!
1. Very low price, which is great for beginners.
2. Flies fast and is agile.
3. Has a beginner and advanced mode.
1. Does not come with a camera. The H107C does however.
2. No blade guards, so it is much easier for the blades to get damaged. You can buy them separately.
3. Sounds like a swarm of angry bees, which may be annoying to some people.
4. The motors may have a relatively short life span, so you may want to buy additional motors in case this happens.
When you first purchase the Hubsan X4, make sure you read the user manual. Calibrating the RC quadcopter prior to its first flight is important.
It takes about 30 minutes to fully charge a battery. If the battery is starting to die in the RC quadcopter, the lights next to the blades will start to flash. If the quadcopter goes out of range of the transmitter, the lights will start flashing as well.
The transmitter requires 4 AAA batteries, which unfortunately does not come with the package.
On a full battery the Hubsan X4 H107L can fly for around 5-8 minutes. I would recommend purchasing more than one battery so that you can enjoy flying it for longer periods of time.
This RC quadcopter is small, but is extremely fast. When flying it for the first time, I would recommend starting off nice and easy. Once you feel comfortable with the slower speeds, feel free to increase the speed.
The X4 has a beginner mode and an advanced mode. In beginner mode, the RC quadcopter is not as responsive to the controller.. In advanced mode, the slightest movement of the joystick will cause it to go in that direction. The Hubsan X4 can do flips in advanced mode as well.
It does have LED lights, so if you wanted to fly the quadcopter at night, you would be able to.
Although the Hubsan does not have blade guards, it is still pretty durable, which is ideal for a beginner. On the other hand, I would recommend buying either additional blades or blade guards as the original ones may get damaged after a while. (I would highly recommend flying it outside if you are a beginner. If you fly it inside, the blades can hit a wall and become damaged very quickly.)
Overall, if you are tight on a budget, the Hubsan X4 H107L may be a good choice for you. It’s fast, agile, and fun to fly. It is also a great starting miniquad if you wanted to get into racing quadcopters.
